WHEN DO 2020 SEASON TICKET HOLDER MEMBERSHIPS GO ON SALE?
2020 Firebirds Memberships are set to go live in November 2019. Please find this year we are offering four main windows.
- AUTO RENEW – 25th November – An email will arrive for you to log-in and allow the system to auto renew your membership, your seat and all financial aspects sorted.
- RENEWALS – SAME SEAT – 2th December – An email will arrive for you to start the renewal process for your same seat. However if you would like to change seats we will work within this time to re-home your current seats.
- RENEWALS – CHANGE SEAT – During the above window. All current renewing members will have ONLINE ACCESS to purchase their 2020 Membership until 4pm Friday 25 January 2019.
- NEW MEMBERSHIP SALES - 12th December - New memberships will be available to purchase until this date – allow new members the opportunity to put a Firebirds Season Ticket under the Christmas Tree.

HOW MANY GAMES WILL I GET TO SEE?
Your 2020 Queensland Firebird membership will provide you access to all seven (7) home matches being played at Nissan Arena (590 Mains Road, Nathan Q 4111).
Sunday, 10 May at 3:00pm – Round 2 v Adelaide Thunderbirds at Nissan Arena.
Saturday, 23 May at 3:00pm – Round 4 v Sunshine Coast Lightning at Nissan Arena
Sunday, 7 June at 1:00pm – Round 6 v West Coast Fever at Nissan Arena
Saturday, 20 June at 1:00pm – Round 8 v NSW Swifts at Nissan Arena
Sunday, 12 July at 1:00pm – Round 10 v Giants Netball at Nissan Arena
Saturday, 25 July at 3:00pm – Round 12 v Melbourne Vixens at Nissan Arena
Saturday, 1 August at 3:00pm – Round 14 v Collingwood Magpies at Nissan Arena
Please note: Suncorp Super Netball and Netball Australia reserve the right to change the draw at any time, including the location of where matches are being played. Netball Queensland will not take any responsibility for lost travel costs, accommodation or otherwise in relation to these changes.
WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF A FAMILY MEMBERSHIP?
2020 Queensland Firebird family memberships consist of two (2) full adult and two (2) junior members. You can however add additional junior members to your Family membership. Junior members must be 12 and under as at 31 December 2020.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR MY QUEENSLAND FIREBIRDS MEMBERSHIP?
In 2019 renewing members will receive an email with a link and details on how to renew via their registered email address. New memberships will go on sale in December. At this time, you will be able to access new membership purchases by visiting www.firebirds.net.au
HOW DO I ARRANGE TO SIT WITH MY FRIENDS?
The best option is to purchase all seats via the one transaction so your seats can be processed together. Alternatively make sure you add your Friends names into the SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS section when you complete the online purchase. HOW DO I PAY FOR MY SEASON TICKET HOLDER MEMBERSHIP?
You can pay for your 2020 season membership securely via credit card or opt to pay using our part payment option.
I CHOSE THE PART PAYMENT PLAN WHEN I PURCHASED MY 2020 MEMBERSHIP. WHAT IS THE SCHEDULE FOR THE PAYMENTS?
All ticketed memberships are available on payment plans. For memberships purchased prior to 24 January, the first payment will be deducted on 31 January 2020 and instalments will be deducted monthly for completion by 30 June 2020 in accordance with schedule 1.
If your membership is purchased after 24 January, your first payment will be deducted on 24 February, with your final instalment being deducted on 31 July in accordance with schedule 2.
Any membership purchased from 24 February until 30 March will incur the first payment at point of purchase or shortly thereafter and the remaining payments in accordance with schedule 2 to be completed on 31 July.
Memberships purchased 31 March onwards will require a customised payment plan, evenly splitting the amount owing over the remaining payment dates in schedule 2.
Any missed payments will result in a membership hold until payment is made which means you will not gain access to the arena on match day. Any missed payments will also attract a late fee of $10, added on to your next payment when it is deducted.
Schedule 1 – Memberships purchased prior to 24 January 2020 will incur six even payments on the 24th of every month commencing on 24th January 2020 and ending on 24 June 2020.
Schedule 2 – Memberships purchased on 24 January 2020 or after will incur six even payments on the 24th of every month commencing on 24th February 2020 and ending on 24 July 2020.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY MEMBERSHIP PACK?
Membership packs will be sent out early April 2020, so you will receive your membership pack prior to the first home game.
If you order your membership after the first week of April 2020, it will take approximately three weeks for your pack to arrive. You will receive access to Firebirds matches from time of purchase and will be provided with a paper ticket or temporary membership card to facilitate this access.
IS MY MEMBERSHIP TRANSFERABLE?
Yes. Our new system allows for transfer of membership on a per match basis. You will be able to send e-tickets to friends to access the match in your absence, as long as your guest meets the ticket criteria. For example: a junior membership can only be used by another eligible junior. However, an adult membership can be used by anyone.
Once you have transferred your membership for a particular match, your hard-plastic membership card will not be able to be used to access the venue on match day.
I WOULD PREFER PAPER TICKETS RATHER THAN A MEMBERSHIP PASS. IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Memberships can be sent as electronic EzyTickets via the membership portal. No paper tickets will be sent out in 2020.
I HAVE ARRIVED AT THE VENUE AND HAVE FORGOTTEN MY SEASON MEMBERSHIP PASS. WHAT DO I DO?
Visit the Membership window at the box office and let them know you left your membership card at home. You will be asked to present photo identification and then an electronic ticket will be issued for that game.
WHAT DO I DO IF I LOSE MY MEMBERSHIP CARD?
New Membership cards can be reissued at a cost of $10.00 per card. To request a new membership card please contact email@example.com.
DOES MY MEMBERSHIP GIVE ME ACCESS TO THE SUNCORP SUPER NETBALL FINALS MATCHES?
The Suncorp Super Netball finals matches are controlled by Netball Australia and as such, your season membership does not include entry to these fixtures. However, all Queensland Firebirds Members will be provided a priority access member pre-sale should the we host a 2020 home final. Should you purchase finals tickets, please note you will not be guaranteed access to your same seat during finals matches.
DO I GET TO SIT IN MY REGULAR SEAT AT FINALS SERIES MATCHES?
As the Suncorp Super Netball finals matches are controlled by Netball Australia you are not guaranteed access to your same seat as regular season matches. However, priority access should ensure all Queensland Firebirds members have an opportunity to purchase the best seats in the house before they go on sale to the general public.
DOES MY MEMBERSHIP ALLOW ME TO TRAVEL AND WATCH THE FIREBIRDS AWAY?
The season membership covers home matches only. However, tickets to away matches can be organised by talking to the Firebirds membership team via email at: firstname.lastname@example.org or on 1300MYFIRE (1300 69 3473).
WHEN IS THE QUEENSLAND FIREBIRDS PRE-SEASON FAN DAY?
The 2020 Firebirds Fan Day is yet to be confirmed. Details will be communicated to members via email once this event has been finalised.
MEMBERS ONLY PRE-SEASON MATCH INFORMATION
In 2020 we will be offering Queensland Firebird Members the chance to pre-purchase tickets to a pre-season match. Further details about this event will be communicated to members via email once this event information has been finalised. It is likely to be held in March or April.
HOW DO I APPLY FOR ACCESSIBLE SEATING?
Members requiring accessible seating will need to purchase a GOLD membership only. All accessible seating located within Nissan Arena is available directly behind the Diamond seating sections.
Accessible seating will be provided to those patrons who require:
- Wheelchair seating
- Companion card holders
- Seating with limited steps
- Vision and hearing impairments; and
- other accessibility requirements and is subject to availability.

IS THERE ACCESS TO DISABLED PARKING?
Yes however limited disabled parking is available. For information on disabled parking at Nissan Arena on (07) 3426 9500 to book your season parking. Bookings will open a month before the first game.

IS PUBLIC TRANSPORT FREE TO QUEENSLAND FIREBIRDS MATCHES?
Free Public Transport Travel is included in each ticket and membership season card. Free travel is restricted to QLD Rail City Network and BT Bus Services - conditions apply. Please look at the ‘Getting There’ page on Nissan Arena for more information on services and locations. More info
CAN I DRIVE AND PARK AT NISSAN ARENA TO ATTEND QUEENSLAND FIREBIRDS MATCHES?
In 2020 the Queensland Firebirds Members will be offered to pre-purchase season parking as offered in 2019. All Members will get a presale link via email or be able to buy through the final stages of order confirmation. Those who purchase season membership will get passes prior to the first game to display upon arrival. All parking sold is on site at the Nissan Arena / Mains Road Park’n’Ride multi-story car park.
Please note Captains Club Memberships do include a Car Park Pass as part of this membership for those requiring it e.g. a family of four may only require one park. This will be reviewed member by member.
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS WITH ME?
Members may bring small portions of food and drinks bottles (excluding commercial products) into the centre. Nissan Arena will have catering outlets open throughout all events for the comfort of all members. Members will not be permitted to bring glass or excessively large items. Visit the venue website www.nissanarena.com.au closer to the event for information on any restrictions.
WHY IS THERE ONLY ADULT AND CONCESSION TICKETS AVAILABLE IN THE BIRDCAGE? CAN JUNIORS GAIN ACCESS TO THIS AREA?
The Birdcage is a licensed area and is available for adult or concession tickets. Juniors are permitted in this area under the supervision of an adult or guardian over the age of 18 years old. Juniors can purchase a concession ticket for access provided they have a valid student card. Please note the Birdcage is an active supporter area so louder cheering and noise can be expected more so in this area.
